All members of the public are invited to The Abbey Hotel in Donegal on 10 March at 18.30 for a unique opportunity to discuss ideas about what Europe might look like in the next 5, 10, 20 years, as part of the Conference on the Future of Europe process taking place across the EU.

Date: Thursday, 10 March 2022
Time: 18.30 – 20:30 with Registration & Refreshments from 18.00
Venue: The Abbey Hotel, The Diamond, Donegal Town, Co. Donegal F94 AP8W
Speaker: Minister of State for European Affairs, Thomas Byrne TD
Register: https://www.europeanmovement.ie/irelands-conference-on-the-future-of-europe-donegal/

The event is organised by European Movement Ireland.

We will be joined on the day by Minister of State for European Affairs, Thomas Byrne TD, who will address the event and be on hand to listen to people’s ideas.

We want you to take part in a discussion about suggestions and ideas that have been put forward by the people of Ireland.

We have carried out a number of panel discussions with people from all sectors of Irish society over the last six months and have developed a set of proposals based on what people have said they want to see from Europe. They are all based around issues that affect our everyday lives, and this is your opportunity to help us shape them.

We are asking you to explore these ideas and vote on them. You do not have to be an expert to take part and there are no wrong ideas. Everyone is encouraged to have their say on the Future of Europe, and Ireland’s place in it.

The topics that we’re going to discuss at this meeting will be Fundamental Rights and the Rule of Law, the Economy and Health. You can find some discussion papers here that have been developed with independent academics around Ireland, if you want to do some research.

Make your voice heard, register at: https://www.europeanmovement.ie/irelands-conference-on-the-future-of-europe-donegal/

If you have any questions or have any additional requirements for the meeting, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Dá mbfhearr leat páirt a ghlacadh sa phróiseas seo trí mheán na Gaeilge, bí i dteagmháil linn ag conference@europeanmovement.ie agus labhróimid leat faoi conas is féidir sin a dhéanamh.

If you are feeling unwell and or are displaying any symptoms of Covid-19 we respectfully request that you do not attend the event in person.
