Motorists have been warned to take extra care this morning following a heavy frost across the county overnight.
Met Eireann yesterday issued a status yellow warning because of plunging temperatures overnight.
Donegal County Council sent out its team of gritters to all of the county’s primary roads at 6am this morning.
However, people have been warned to treat all roads as if they have not been treated and to take extra care.
Pedestrians have also been warned to take extra care when using footpaths.
The warning of hazardous ice conditions is due to be lifted at 10am but people are advised to take extra care all morning until lunchtime.
