The management of the Manorcunningham Community Resource Centre would like to say a massive thank you to everyone in the community for their generous support of the Ukrainian relief collection that they held over the weekend.
A full van load was sorted and packed to capacity with food, medical supplies, baby food and nappies, clothes and other essential items and was collected on Tuesday by a Donegal Groupage driver and will make its way to Dublin and then to the Polish-Ukraine border where the items will be distributed to the refugees fleeing the war.
The Centre would like to thank Donegal Groupage who made it possible for the Centre to host this appeal by supplying the transport.
“We were just astounded at the generosity and willingness to help and support for this appeal,” said Carmel Doherty.
“We would also like to thank everyone who helped in anyway over the weekend with the sorting and packing of items and to thank the men that did the heavy lifting and packing of the van.”
