A number of high-speed detections were made in the Donegal Town area over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Gardaí carried out a checkpoint on the N15 on Sunday when they detected a number of vehicles travelling in excess of the 100KPH speed limit.
One of the most notable speeds was 141km/hr, while two other motorists were clocked at 136km/hr and 134 km/hr.
Gardaí have confirmed that fines of €80 were issued to the drivers, as well as three penalty points.
A spokesperson said: “A poor decision in relation to road safety could have life-altering consequences for you as a driver or for others. Please do not put lives at risk. Slow down. It won’t kill you to be a little late.”
