A fun day of fitness classes will be held in Moville this April to raise funds for families fleeing the war in Ukraine.
‘Move for Moville’ takes place on Sunday 10th April from 12noon at St. Eugene’s Hall Moville.
It promises to be a fun day for all the family with different activities for adults and children, including with a full schedule of dance, fitness, tai chi and yoga classes.
The day was organised by Kasia Brol, a Polish native living in Moville for 16 years. Kasia, a Zumba instructor, wanted to do something to support the Irish Red Cross and their work with refugees from Ukraine.
“I’m so happy that lots of local instructors and businesses were happy to join me and help me,” she said.
“It’s amazing when a community comes together. We have local bakers donating their home baked goodies and local businesses donating vouchers for the raffle. I would love to see lots of people joining us on April 10th.”
Kasia was also involved in organising two collections for Ukraine which was a great success.
“The amount of items we collected was unbelievable and was so emotional to watch how many people respond to it and opened their hearts. All collected items were added to shipment to Poland for the Ukrainian refugees. Now I feel that we have to support the refugee families coming to Ireland.”
