Donegal will be basking in sunshine and warm weather all weekend, with no let-up on the mini heatwave forecast until next week.
The mercury will hit 18C on Saturday and Sunday, with dry conditions and plenty of sunshine.
While the nights will be cool, the current warm spell won’t be fading until the middle of next week. Met Eireann is forecasting an increased possibility of showers and chance of some frost by night next week.
Looking towards the weekend, today will be dry in the north west with highest temperatures of 14 to 16 degrees.
Saturday will start with some mist and fog, clearing into a dry day with sunny spells and a light easterly breeze.
Sunday too will begin with mist and fog which will clear from most areas on Sunday morning “but may persist along parts of the north and east coast. It will be dry with sunny spells and light east to southeast or variable winds.”
