Arranmore United 0 v 2 Oldtown Celtic
Both teams had chances with Mardy Mc Garrigle and Glenn O’Donnell causing trouble for Oldtown.
Oldtown took the lead when a dangerous cross came in and the Oldtown striker capitalised on it and finished emphatically.
Arran had chances to level towards the end of the half but to no avail. The Islanders came out in the 2nd half flying and were a handful for the Letterkenny men.Rua, Chim and Sean O’Hara were solid at the back and stopped any Oldtown attack.
Arranmore came close with a good counter-attack from John Roper and Brian Proctor but Proctor was unable to finish the chance. Oldtown capitalised on some Arranmore confusion to nick their second goal and finish the game off on 85 minutes.
Cappry Rovers Reserves 2 v 0 Strand Rovers
In a game played in good conditions in Cappry Park both teams served up an entertaining first half. Cappry took the lead when Dean O’Donnell found Jamie O’Donnell who finished well from inside the box. Cappry doubled their lead a few minutes later when Dean O’Donnell found the bottom corner with a fine effort.
Strand pressed early in the 2nd half and had a golden chance to pull a goal back from the penalty spot but Dylan Doherty in Cappry goals saved well. The 2nd half was all Strand but Cappry defended well. Strand had a few chances to get a goal back but failed to convert. Two Team Performances. Referee: Marty Mc Garrigle
Fintown Harps AFC 7 v 3 Milford United Reserves
In glorious conditions at Parc Achla, Fintown Harps came away with the three points in a 10-goal thriller that finished 7-3.
Fintown started very well playing some great football and we awarded a penalty in the 12 the minute when Logan Quinn was taken down in the box. Keelan Mc Monagle steeped up and made no mistake from 12yards. Shortly after that Aidan Mc Cahill got the first of his hat-trick, getting a vital touch on an inswinging corner from Keelan Mc Monagle.
Milford hit back to make it 2-1 after a defensive mix-up. Fintown responded well and Odhrán Mc Callig, after some great work, put Harps 3-1 up around the half hour mark. Odhrán, playing with great confidence, got his second following some neat play by Joe Smith in the middle of the park.
In fairness to Milford they kept plugging away but got caught again when Logan Quinn won the ball and hit a great strike finding the net again. Fintown were playing well but they let Milford in again to make it 5-2 at the break. The 2nd half started well for Fintown with Mc Cahill getting his second of the day showing great strength to hold off the defender and find the back of the net.
Milford got their 3rd on 75 minutes but big Aidan Mc Cahill had the last say when he got his 3rd to finish off a great day for the Harps.

Glenea United Reserves 0 v 0 Kildrum Tigers Reserves
Despite the fine conditions for football neither side were able to convert any of their chances into goals. Both side started
slowly and it wasn’t until the latter part of the first-half that chances began to occur.
Kildrum started to get on top in the midfield and sent several good crosses into the box but were denied by a combination of good saves from Oran Craig and late blocks from the home defence. But as the away side pushed on, Glenea looked lively on the break and went close to opening the scoring themselves through efforts from Dean Gallagher and Calvin Murray.
In the second-half it was more of the same as Kildrum continued to press and went close on a couple of occasions to getting the opening goal with Oran Craig doing well to keep out a corner from Packie Coll, at his near post.
Glenea again looked to catch the away side on the break but despite efforts from Chris Barrett, Noel Sweeney and Dean Gallagher were unableto break the deadlock. At the end a draw was probably the right result for both sides.
Keadue Rovers Reserves 2 v 1 Donegal Town Reserves
Keadue Reserves dug out a hard fought and vital win against Donegal Town Reserves at a gloriously sunny Central Park on Saturday to ease their relegation fears somewhat after a recent poor run of results.
In the opening exchange, Keadue were the brighter outfit moving the ball around well with plenty of pace. Luke Neely shot wide on five minutes. A few minutes later a good run from Peter Mc Gee ended with a cross which Liam Boyle connected with but the keeper saved. Both teams, despite the high tempo, didn’t get anything going in the way of dominant possession and were living off errors.
It wasn’t until the twenty seventh minute when Keadue were awarded a free kick on the edge of the area, after appeals for a penalty. Up stepped Michael Greene and he dispatched the free kick with great style to the top corner for the lead for the home team.
That was followed by a fairly-scrappy spell with Keadue content to let Donegal Town have possession and defend well. Donegal had a chance on forty minutes which was blocked and despite not really testing the Keadue keeper, ended the first half on top. The second half started very brightly and both sides had some good openings.
Firstly, Donegal went very close through Gary Ward, who had a close range shot blocked, then a few minutes later the lively Liam Boyle, on a breakaway, had his shot blocked, before the rebound went to Peter Mc Gee, whose shot was also blocked.
The visitors forcing Keadue back and on the balance of play deserved to be level, which they duly were on sixty-eight minutes, when following a ball over the top, Gary Ward ran on to it, forced a save from Caelan Bonner, but following up on the line was Mark Jordan to make it 1-1.
Joe Stitt in midfield was starting to move things well for Donegal Town but the equaliser seemed to spark Keadue to life and Peter Mc Gee was unlucky to have his run halted soon after the leveller. A minute later, both McGee and Boyle had chances. Joe Stitt was again to the fore on eighty minutes, forcing a good save.
In a lively ending to the game in the last ten minutes, Keadue had a goal disallowed when Liam Boyle’s effort was ruled out for handball. Brendan Mc Cafferty had a shot saved but Keadue got the vital winning goal on eighty-five minutes when, from a corner, Jack Ward came up from the back to head home.
A decent second half from both sides after a scrappy first half and a vital win for the home side. Best for Donegal Town were Joe Stitt, Mark Jordan and Gary Ward, while best for Keadue were Liam Boyle, Michael Greene and Mark Boyle. Referee: Sean Ferry.
Old Orchard Saturday Division Two
Cranford United Reserves 1 v 3 Castlefin Celtic Reserves
Cranford started lively and were 1-0 up through Paddy Mc Geever on 15 minutes who scored after good work by Connor Shiels and Cathair Sweeney.
Cranford had a few chances to double the lead in the first half but it was still 1-0 at half time. It was a tale of two halves though as Cranford failed to come out for the second half. They were still 1-0 up with 15 minutes left on the clock but conceded three goals in the last 15 minutes to lose 3-1.
Drumbar F.C. 2 v 0 Ballybofey United Reserves
Ballybofey looked the more threatening of the two side in the opening exchanges and were awarded a penalty after 30 minutes but their effort soared over the Drumbar crossbar. The match remained scoreless until the break.
The second half saw Drumbar up the anti and they starting to play some brilliant football with loads of very good passing exchanges. They were awarded a penalty when Rion Carr was taken down in the area and sharpshooter Robbie Murphy expertly dispatched to make it 1-0.
Murphy was soon on the double after a great team move which released Vinny Breslin into space who then squared to Murphy to score to make it 2-0 on the day. A great game of football on beautiful day.
Drumoghill F.C. Reserves 3 v 0 St. Catherines Reserves

Dunlewey Celtic 2 v 3 Ramelton Mariners
Both sides started the game pushing from the off to get the opening goal with several chances falling to Dunlewey but they couldn’t find that finishing touch. It was the visitors who struck first with a header at the back post from Eoin Roulston. Ramelton led at the break 1-0.
Dunlewey started the second half brightly and pulled a goal back with a great header from Joseph Devenney. Dunlewey then took the lead with a fine goal from Daniel Coll. The lead didn’t last long though and Ramelton struck with a quick breakaway and Keelan Sweeney slotted the ball home from distance.
Both sides were pushing for the win with a few good chances for Dunlewey and the woodwork being struck on a couple of occasions. Ramelton broke on the counter once again and won a penalty on the break with five minutes to go.
David Fisher stepped up and squeezed the ball under the Dunlewey keeper. Ramelton took the spoils in this one to go level on points with Dunlewey, 3-2 the final score.

Bonagee United 1 v 0 Donegal Town
The first real chance fell to the home side on sixteen minutes when Aiden Mc Laughlin headed over from six yards from a Jordan Gallagher corner.
Duncan Patterson saw his header from ten yards go wide of the post on thirty-five minutes. Donegal Town should have scored on thirty-eight minutes when a Gallagher corner was headed over from six yards by Mc Laughing. The visitors did have a goal disallowed on forty-four minutes for off-side.
Three minutes later the visitors had a big call for a penalty when the home keeper Cian Harkin and the attacker went for the same ball and both players ended up on the deck but referee Mc Laughing waved play on.
The home side took the lead on forty-seven minutes when Peter Carr in midfield won the ball he pushed the ball wide to Jordan Gallagher who pushed the ball past the defender and Carr continued his run to pick up the ball he rounded the keeper and shot home from eight yards.
The visitors came close to scoring on fifty minutes when a cross into the box from Eoin Slevin fell to Ronan Mc Hugh but the striker shot wide from ten yards. Eoin Slevin saw his free kick from the edge of the box on the hour go over the bar. Ryan Mc Hugh and Joe Mc Intyre had strikes on eighty and eighty-four minutes but Harkin in the home goal saved well.
Team efforts by both side. Referee: Vincent Mc Laughing. Bonagee United would like to wish the Donegal Town player who went to hospital with a leg injury a speedy recovery.
Cappry Rovers 3 v 1 Convoy Arsenal
In game played in perfect conditions in Cappry Park it was the home the team who struck first when Jamie Murray found Dean O’Donnell who finished well from inside the box.
The home side went close again when Benny Bonner volleyed wide from 25 yards. Convoy came back into the game and got level when J.P Malley found Oran Patterson who finished well. Cappry got a dream start to the second half when Jamie Murray played Dean O’Donnell through who rounded the keeper to tap home.
Cappry should have made it 3-1 but Jamie Murray failed to convert a Dean O’Donnell cross. Cappry made it 3-1 when Dean O’Donnell completed his hat-trick with a smart finish. Convoy kept pressing but couldn’t find a way past the Cappry defence. Two decent Team Performances. Referee: Mick Lagan
Castlefin Celtic 3 v 2 Kildrum Tigers
Castlefin secured a vital win in the title race against fellow challengers Kildrum Tigers. Castlefin took the lead in the opening minute, Ronan Tourish pounced on a mistake in the visitor’s defence and drove forward, rounded the keeper and scored.
There wasn’t much difference between the sides with both sides exchanging long range efforts for the remainder of the half. The second period started with a bang, two quick fire goals saw Kildrum ahead. Firstly, Kevin Mc Hugh found space on the left cut inside and fired home, then Mc Hugh again found space on the left, he fed Odhrán Mc Macken who slotted into the bottom corner.
In the 70th minute Castlefin equalised, Ronan Tourish again found space, drove through the visitor’s defence and riffled home. The hosts had the momentum and with ten minutes left on the clock, Tourish and Gary Mc Nulty combined, the latter lobbing the keeper from 20 yards. In the dying minutes the hosts defence stood firm to hold on for the victory.
Glenea United 0 v 1 Keadue Rovers
On a perfect day for football, Keadue left with all three points. There were very few chances in the first half, Darren Mc Geever got in on goal in the 12th minute but Daniel Mc Hugh made a great tackle to divert the danger.
Keadue started the second half with more intent and dominated for 15 minutes. Paul Boyle and Danny Mc Glynn had headers cleared off the line as the Glenea defence tried to keep a clean sheet. Keadue made the pressure count in the 57th minute when Barry Curran´s shot from the edge of the box was deflected and ended up in the corner of the net.
Both teams battled for the next half hour but created very little. Team effort from Keadue, Mark Harley best for Glenea
Kilmacrennan Celtic 6 v 0 Drumkeen United

When Martin Mc Elhinney won the ball in midfield, he surged forward into the box and produced a delicate finish into the bottom corner from a tight angle. The 3 minutes later, Eddie O’Reilly found space in the box and made no mistake with his finish into the bottom corner. Referee: Seimi Ferry
Gweedore Celtic 1 v 3 Raphoe Town

Gweedore eventually drew level in the thirtieth minute when Eoin de Burca set up Cian Mc Bride who finished well. Further chances were squandered by the home team and the scoreline remained level at the break. The game turned on its head in a five-minute spell after the break.

Rathmullan Celtic 1 v 0 Drumoghill F.C.
An Eoin Sheridan wonder strike in the second half stole the show and the points for the Hoops on a sun-kissed Mother’s Day at the Seaside hamlet.
On the back of an emphatic win away to Fanad, Eamonn Sheridan’s Rathmullan Celtic came into Sunday’s game on a high, despite missing key personnel, with the priority to keep momentum flowing in their push for promotion to the top flight.
The visitors did start the game stronger but Kieran Gorman and Patrick Patton gave a masterclass in defence which gave the Hoops confidence to take a stranglehold of proceedings at the Flagpole.
No real chances were created in the opening half but the game completely lit up on 55 minutes when Hoop’s midfield maestro Eoin Sheridan controlled James Gallagher’s pass in midfield before unleashing a strike from 25 yards that creamed into the very top right-hand corner of the Drumoghill net.
It was a goal that quite simply will not be beaten for Goal of the Season and one which will definitely make Soccer AM on Saturday morning. The Seaside faithful enjoyed the game with ice-cream aplenty with Sheridan’s wonder strike simply putting the flake on top. Referee: George Clinton

Deele Harps 0 v 6 Letterkenny Rovers
Letterkenny Rovers maintained their four-point lead at the top of Division Two with a 6-0 win over Deele Harps at a sun-kissed Leckview Park on Sunday afternoon.
The tone was set from the outset with a strong opening 20 minutes setting the pattern for the game as Rovers started very brightly dominating exchanges against a much weakened Deele side and it was no surprise when they opened the scoring after just 6 minutes when the lively Jack Dwyer struck a shot from distance which flew past visiting custodian David Arthur.
Deele though forced home goalkeeper Blake Forkan into a fine save from a trademark Jordy Duffy effort on 15 minutes but it as Rovers who dominated from then on with Luke Parke just failing to convert a good move involving Ronan Curran and Dwyer on 18 minutes before they did double the lead on 20 minutes when Dwyer netted after an incisive Ronan Curran through ball.
Caolan Mc Connell then finished with a fine left footed effort just after the half hour mark before Rovers’ goalkeeper Forkan was forced off with a rib injury shortly after denying Sean McGowan with a cracking stop.
Deele did try and pressurise stand-in keeper Dylan Doogan but to no avail as he was well protected by his defence but any hopes of a Deele comeback were dashed as a fine finish from Patrik Gahir on 42 and a well worked team goal culminating with an excellent Nathan Bonner finish saw Rovers go in 5-0 at the halftime break.
The second half turned into quite a tedious affair on an extremely hot afternoon and Rovers added to their lead through James Kernan who rifled home from 12 yards on 62 minutes.
