Breaking: Emergency services at traffic incident at Burt

Gardai and the emergency services are at the scene of what is described as “a major traffic incident” at Burt.

Eye witnesses said signs with the words ‘major traffic incident’ had been placed at the scene.

The incident happened just after 2pm and is understood to involve a number of vehicles.

Gardai have launched a full traffic management system in the area.

A number of ambulances and fore personnel are currently at the scene of the incident close to An Grianan Hotel.

It is not know if there are any casualties at this stage.
