Showery outbreaks of rain will clear south through the morning leaving a mostly dry afternoon with good periods of sunshine.
According to Met Eireann, there will be highest temperatures of 8 to 10 degrees, in mostly moderate northerly breeze.
Tonight will be very cold and largely dry with long clear spells, but cloud will increase from northwest towards morning.
Lowest temperatures of -3 to +1 degrees, coolest in the south, with a widespread frost developing along with mist and fog in places as winds fall light and variable.
