Cloughaneely Golf Club raised €1,111 for the Irish Dementia Cafe Network and Climb with Charlie charities at their Donal McGinley Memorial scramble on Saturday.
Fittingly, the ‘Last of the Summer’ team which featured Donal’s brothers John and Seamus McGinley, went on to win by six strokes.

However they had plenty of help from teammates Brian Cannon and Joe Gallagher.

Sandra McGinley won the nearest to the pin competition with a beautifully floated wedge to 14inches on the 7th. She missed the putt but thankfully Siobhan McGinley was on hand to tap in the birdie!
