Donegal Women In Business Network welcomes new committee

Donegal Women In Business Network bid farewell to outgoing Public Relations Officer Evelyn McGlynn of Evelyn McMarketing and Network Secretary Trish McGinley of McGinley Marketing after 6 years of dedication to Women in Business within the county. 

In what was the first in person meeting since the pandemic began, Network President, Jo Daly of Quay West Restaurant welcomed new members joining the committee on Monday night.

She said: “We are delighted to have our new committee in place. in place, we have an energetic group of women ready to build on the great foundations of our predecessors. It’s an exciting time ahead for the Donegal Women in Business Network as we work together to bring ourselves to the next level. We are committed to supporting the women of Donegal as they start or continue their business journey.”

2021 was another exciting year for Donegal Women In Business Network, Ireland’s largest independent female business network.

Online Events, a feature of 2020, remained in place with continued growth in attending numbers, members hosted numerous member-led online events, supported by Donegal Women In Business Network and Donegal Local Enterprise Office and a network Facilitator, Caitriona Sinnott was appointed.

Of Donegal Women In Business Network, Michael Tunney, Head of Enterprise and Economic Development, Local Enterprise Office said: “The Local Enterprise Office Donegal has been working closely with and supporting the Donegal Women in Business Network for over the past 20 Years plus. I am delighted to welcome the new committee and wish them well in driving the network and female entrepreneurship forward in the county. I also want to thank the outgoing committee members for their commitment and dedication during their term in office. Their commitment has strongly contributed to the growth of the Network and our female-led enterprises.”

Donegal Women In Business Network is open to all women in business, starting a business or with an interest in the subject.
