A man is to stand trial at Letterkenny Circuit Court on three charges of money laundering.

Abraham Philips appeared at Letterkenny District Court earlier today.

The court was told that the Director of Public Prosecutions had consented to send the accused forward for trial at the next sitting of the circuit court on May 10th.

Philips, aged 23, with an address at Snooker Club Apartments, Port Road in Letterkenny, did not speak during the brief hearing.

Details of the alleged incidents were not given in court.

The accused man’s solicitor, Mr Patsy Gallagher, asked Judge Patricia Cronin for a second counsel considering the seriousness of the charges.

Judge Cronin agreed to the request and adjourned the case.
