Any lingering mist and fog patches will clear to give a dry and sunny start to the day, according to Met Éireann.
A little patchy rain or drizzle will develop from the west late morning and the cloud will continue to thicken with outbreaks of rain developing by afternoon.
It will stay a little drier further east of Ulster. Fresh southerly winds with highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees.
Outbreaks of rain will become more widespread and persistent this evening and may be heavy at times too.
Lows of 9 to 11 degrees with fresh southerly winds.
