Gardai are investigating an attempt to ram gates at a car park at a shop in Buncrana.

The incident happened on Saturday last, April 16th on the Cockhill Road.

CCTV footage shows a black Volkswagen Bora smashed into the gates and also to the fence at the car park.

The car was later abandoned.

Gardai say they do not feel it was an attempt to break into or rob the shop but are treating it as an act of “wanton vandalism.’

Anybody with any information o possible dashcam footage of the incident is asked to contact Gardai at Buncrana Garda station.
