Gardaí have issued an appeal for information after a serious crash near Lough Salt over the Bank Holiday weekend.

Two teenagers – a male and a female – were injured in the single vehicle collision on the Lough Salt Road at around 9:40pm on Sunday night.

The male driver was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. A female passenger is currently in a critical condition in Beaumont Hospital.

Gardaí are appealing to road users who were in the area at the time of the crash to contact Milford Garda Station on 0749153060. Anyone with dashcam footage from this stretch of road between 9pm and 9.45pm is asked to provide it to gardaí to assist with the investigation.
