Gardaí in Letterkenny are searching for the driver of a vehicle who fled the scene of a crash on the Port Road last weekend.

Last Sunday 8th May, a red Lexus car (partial reg 03 DL) crashed into a parked car on the Port Road shortly after exiting a car park near the Dry Arch. The crash occurred between 8.50pm and 9.10pm.

The driver failed to stop at the scene and drove on in the direction of Letterkenny town.

A short time later, gardaí discovered the car abandoned on the Oliver Plunkett Road at 9.50pm.

Gardaí are calling on the driver to come forward and speak with them.

They are also appealing to all road users who have dashcam footage from the Port Road between the Dry Arch and Polestar Roundabouts between 8.45pm and 9.15pm to make it available to gardaí at Letterkenny Garda Station on 0749167100.
