Inishowen native Kevin Sexton has taken up the role of Head of Innovation for the Alpha Innovation Centre in Letterkenny.

Kevin’s role will see him lead the development of the multi-million centre providing strategic direction and oversight on the operation, management and delivery of the new facility as well as working with strategic partners to develop training and mentor supports.

The Alpha Innovation Centre is being built in the town centre as an innovative and entrepreneurial ecosystem for businesses, both startups and existing, to scale, internationalise and respond effectively to their market opportunities.

Mr Sexton will be working on the identification of new businesses to join the environment of the Alpha Innovation Centre. The creation of bespoke pre-accelerator programmes for early idea entrepreneurs will also be important parts of this role.

“Kevin will be instrumental in shaping the development of the centre and I am delighted to have someone of Kevin’s calibre to be taking this initiative forward,” said Garry Martin, Director on the board of Donegal 2040 and Director of Economic Development with Donegal County Council.
