Two leading figures of Letterkenny’s entertainment scene were last night afforded Mayor’s Reception by Cllr Jimmy Kavanagh.
Patrick Doherty and Martin Orr were joined by friends and family for a truly memorable occasion as their achievements were recognised by the Municipal District of Letterkenny-Milford.

Patrick Doherty (aka Mr Pantomime) has been the director of the Letterkenny Pantomime for 30 years. Yesterday evening he was honoured for his personal contribution to the success of the pantomime and in acknowledgement of the huge financial contribution the pantomime has made to local groups and charities in the Letterkenny area.

Martin Orr, another well-known son of Letterkenny, was honoured for his contribution to entertainment and in acknowledgement of the many charities he has supported in the Letterkenny Municipal Council area through his musical events and fundraising. Martin uses his singing and musical talents often to raise money for important causes and is a familiar voice on many local stages.
