Almost 800 Donegal primary school children take part in ‘Scríobh Leabhar’

Almost 800 primary school students across Donegal took part in the ‘Scríobh Leabhar’ project

‘Scríobh Leabhar’ is an Irish language writing project facilitated by Ionad Oideachais Ghort an Choirce, the Donegal Gaeltacht Education Centre.

Scoil Bhríde, Mín an Chladaigh; Scoil Ghort an Choirce; Scoil an Choimín, An Chlochán.

A total of 16 primary schools and 788 pupils participated in the project.

Teachers from the schools were present at an event organised by the Education Centre in Óstán Loch Altan, Gort an Choirce. The schools and their pupils were commended by the organising committee.

The committee who ran the project under the direction of Fiona Nic Pháidín was warmly congratulated on the night. ‘Scríobh Leabhar’ is sponsored by Foras na Gaeilge.

The organisers thanked Óstán Loch for the wonderful buffet at the event.

Teachers of participating schools will present medals, certificates and prizes to the pupils in the schools.
