A community bookcase in Killybegs is out of service this week after it was destroyed by vandals.
The ‘little free library’ public bookcase at St. John’s Church Killybegs was smashed on Saturday night.
It is not known who is responsible, but the volunteers who look after the library say they are disappointed by the reckless vandalism.
“It’s strange that the same thing happened here exactly 3 years ago to the day,” said a post on the St.John’s Killybegs Facebook page.
“We will do our best to get it up and run again as soon as possible.”
The Little Free Libraries are popular features in communities around Donegal, where books are shared free of charge to inspire people to read.
