Aldi Letterkenny shoppers will get a chance to become lifesavers this Friday during an in-store collection for the RNLI.

The RNLI Mayday appeal returns to Aldi stores nationwide this Friday 27th May.

Fundraising members will be on hand from 9am until late in the afternoon for the collection and all supporters will be given a Mayday badge in recognition of their contribution.

As this is the first permitted collection for the RNLI in Letterkenny due to Covid restrictions over the past two years, the team is appealing for the public’s generous support. Funds raised will support the intensive training and hard-wearing kit RNLI lifeboat crews need in an emergency.

Other upcoming fundraising events for the diary will be the revamped Fanad Coastal Walk on Saturday 2 nd July and the annual Windsurfing competition will take place in Downings on Saturday 16 th July.
