Ten lucky PCC Falcarragh students have been awarded scholarships by Coiste Pleanáil Teanga (Language Planning Committee) Chloich Cheannfhaola.
The scholarships, awarded to students that are enthusiastic about the Irish language and show great eagerness to learn, are for the Gaeltacht Summer College of Colaiste Árainn Mhóir for the summer course 2022.
The students, from 2nd to 4th year, are pictured with Bearnaí O Gallachóir and Caitlín Ní Bhroin from the Coiste Pleanáil Teanga in Cloughaneely, who presented them with these prestigious full scholarships. Also pictured is Principal Maeve Sweeney and the Irish teachers involved.
They will spend 3 weeks on the Donegal island in July, improving their spoken and written Irish.
Colaiste Árainn Mhóir has been a great attraction for hundreds of secondary school students every year from across Ireland who are keen to improve their Irish, and it’s a great help for their studies while also being an enjoyable experience.
