Kilmacrennan manager Gerard McGranaghan is ready to give up the management side of football after winning the Premier Division today.
Kilmacrennan Celtic defeated Bonagee United 3-1 in the Brian McCormick Sports Premier Division Play-off as the two sides finished level on points and on goal difference.
“I’m definitely hanging up the management side. That’s 3 years I’ve been with Kilmacrennan and it’s three years we’ve been close to winning it.”
“I felt this was 2-in-a-row going from last year so I’m happy to bow out at that and let someone else take over.
“I think that’s it now, you’ve heard it here.”
He added:”I decided to stay on because they were (too good) a squad to go on and not win something.
“It was (to motivate the players) because it was a long break with covid and we lost a few players.”
“I think we deserved to be here.”
