Young Letterkenny man Brody Ferry won his first pony race yesterday in Dartfield, Galway.
The 11-year-old won on his pony Twitchit in what was only his third ever race in the beginners race in the Loughrea area.
Brody competed in Ramelton last week where he came second but he went one better this time.
The Letterkenny native is dedicated to horse racing, riding every day as he chases his dream of becoming a professional jockey.
It was made even more special as fellow Letterkenny jockey Dylan Browne McMonagle was in attendance, a hero of Brody’s.
Dylan cheered on the winner whose dreams came true yesterday.
