It’s being billed as a night to remember those who cannot remember and with a star studded line-up promises to do it in style.
The Clanree Hotel in Letterkenny is the venue for an evening of dance with Evelyn Gallagher and friends this Saturday June 4th.
The Donegal branch of the Alzheimer Society of Ireland will be the beneficiaries of the event and both the cause and the impressive line-up of singers and musicians should guarantee a packed house.
That gala line-up includes Hugh McLean, the Envoys Showband, Malcolm Fisher, Amy Meehan, Anne Biddie, Hilary Anne Heatherington, Eddie Gallagher, and the Country Kickers Line Dancers.
Compere for the show will be the Country Boy himself, Tommy Rosney, and the backing band will feature an array of local musical talent including Percy Robinson, John McHugh, Damien Duffy and Gary Porter.
The Alzheimer Society of Ireland is a national non-profit organisation that provides dementia specific services and supports while advocating for the rights and needs of all those living with the condition.
“The Donegal branch is hoping to make this a night to remember for those who cannot remember,” says Letterkenny based performer, Evelyn Gallagher, who is to the forefront in helping to organise the dance.
Doors open on the night at 8.p.m. and dancing will be from 9pm to midnight.
Tickets, costing 10 euro, are available at the Clanree Hotel reception desk (074-9124369) or patrons can pay at the door.
