Gardaí are appealing for information after six sheep were killed and more injured in a dog attack in Moville.

The incident occurred at a farm in Carnagarve sometime between Thursday night and Friday morning.

More sheep may have to be put down due to their injuries, according to gardaí.

“We wish to remind dog owners of the harm their pets can cause if let roam free or unsecured and not kept under effectual control,” a spokesperson said.

“With dog ownership comes responsibility. Secure your dog, have it microchipped and registered with your vet.
Dogs should not be allowed roam. Please keep your family pet under effectual control>”

If anybody has any information that might assist Gardaí with their enquiries, please contact Gardaí in Buncrana on 074-9320540.
