Donegal GAA is in mourning following the death of hurling stalwart Eamon Campbell.

A former Donegal senior hurling manager, Eamon will be missed by many both in the game and his local community in Crossroads, Killygoordon.

Formerly of Maghera in Derry, Ballinacor was very much his home and he was immersed in the local community.

He devoted his life to the GAA and especially to hurling guiding Donegal to their first Nicky Rackard Cup final in 2006.

As well as taking command of the county hurling team, Eamon was a huge driving force behind the Setanta club.

He is survived by his beloved wife Kathleen, children Mark, Paul, Meave, Kevin and Clare.

Eamon was the cherished brother of Mary (Scotland) and the late Willie, Harry and Margaret Rose.

Remains are reposing at his late residence from 1pm on Tuesday, June 7.

Funeral leaving from there on Thursday, June , at 11.30am for Requiem Mass in St. Patrick’s Church, Crossroads, Killygordon, at 12 noon with interment afterwards in the adjoining churchyard.
