A vehicle doing 98kmph in a 60kmph speed zone was detected by Gardaí and the driver was arrested after testing positive for cannabis.

The driver was caught by Buncrana Roads Policing Unit last night as Gardaí appeal to the public to slow down and never drink under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

A Gardaí spokesperson said: “A vehicle was detected travelling at 98KPH in a 60KPH speed zone last night by Buncrana Roads Policing Unit. The driver then tested positive for cannabis and was arrested.
