Ballyshannon butcher Brian Campbell is hanging up his apron after 35 years.
It’s the end of an era for the popular butcher and for the Campbell family in Ballyshannon whose butcher tradition dates back to 1902 .
Brian worked with his late father Cathal in the family butchers on the East Port before moving into the newly built building on the Belleek Road in 2003 .
Brian, like his father before him, was a hugely popular figure in the local community.
Ballyshannon Business Chamber posted a tribute to Brian wishing him many years of happy and healthy retirement.
A spokesperson said “We wish Brian a happy and healthy ‘retirement’ and the best of luck for his future. Thank you for your service & support of the town through the years. All the best Brian from Ballyshannon Business Chamber / Erne Enterprise.”
