Second class students from Trentagh National School raised their Green and Amber flags last week.

The students were awarded the Amber Flag for Promoting Positive Mental Health, for their ‘Buddy Bench’ and the Green Flag for their Environmental Awareness.

The bench was made in collaboration with the Kilmacrenan Men’s Shed and Robert McMahon who supplied the timber.

The ceremony was attended by Michael McFadden, Jim Doherty and Raymond McBride from Kilmacrenan’s Men Shed, Lisa Russell, Principal, Ruth Rose, class teacher, Carol Buchanan, support teacher, Alan Alexander, Chair Board of Management and also proud parents of the students.

The school thanked everyone who helped make the bench and all who attended the ceremony.
