Artists from various parts of Donegal met for the first time at an art exhibition on Saturday the 28th of May at Inver Community Centre to showcase the artwork they created over Zoom during the pandemic.

The exhibition is called ‘Our Zoom Journey of Creation and Connections During a Pandemic’ and was organised by the Lifelong Learning team in Donegal Local Development Company (DLDC), which supported the delivery of online art workshops with Colm Sweeney during lockdown through the Social Inclusion Community Activation Programme (SICAP).

Anne Mulhern, who logged in most weeks and the workshops also taught her how to use Zoom

The exhibition was a hive of excitement and creativity as 25 exhibitors from Donegal proudly displayed their art pieces and got to meet and enjoy the work of their fellow artists and build the bond they created on Zoom over the last 18 months.

In addition to the exhibitors, the centre was packed with family, friends, and members of the public who travelled from across Donegal to view the 120 pieces of art on display.
