Keri Loughrey receives Ireland U19 call-up

Keri Loughrey has received a call-up to the Republic of Ireland Under-19 squad for a training camp in England followed by a friendly.

The Buncrana native will join up with the squad for a four-day training camp at St George’s Park before taking on England in an International Friendly at Holmes Park in Leicester on Thursday 30th June.

Dave Connell’s squad is more youthful than normal with many players unavailable due to undertaking their Leaving Certificate exams, so there are first call-ups for many Under-17 players.

This camp is to begin preparations for the UEFA Under-19 European Championship Qualifiers in October, where they travel to Poland to take on the hosts as well as Northern Ireland and France.
