Residents at ‘wits end’ after another mains burst outside Letterkenny

A call has been made for a complete upgrade of the water infrastructure at Rossbracken/Pluck areas outside Letterkenny after multiple burst water mains over a period of weeks.

Cllr Gerry Mc Monagle was speaking after the latest burst at Rossbracken last night.

He said this is the third burst in the area in a week and an ongoing problem for the residents and businesses in the area.

He fumed “Once again people woke up this morning to no water resulting in children going to school without being able to be washed. This is just not good enough.

“The residents are at their wits end with these burst pipes. Irish Water must now invest in the Pipe Infrastructure and ensure that the residents have a continuous and adequate water supply.

“I will be lobbying Irish Water once again to get this upgrade work done as soon as possible.”
