Killygordon residents have been active over the last few weeks weeding and cleaning the village prior to starting of planting and painting.
Flower beds have also been planted in Crossroads village by local residents there.
This response is part of the local Crossroads and Killygordon Enterprise (CAKE) ongoing meetings to draw up plans to enhance both villages with a view to joining the National Tidy Towns competition in 2023.
Crossroads and Killygordon have also been selected to take part in the national Smart Villages Scheme. The Smart Villages workshops will run in tandem with tidy towns meetings between now and Christmas.
Both initiatives are supported by CAKE, but will have to be driven by the local community.
