Brilliant school bake sale raises €1,000 for hospice

A Letterkenny primary school came up with the perfect recipe to help others – by hosting a brilliant bake sale.

The pupils of St. Patrick’s NS Lurgybrack wanted to help others less fortunate than themselves at the Donegal Hospice.

So the pupils (and their parents!) baked and baked and baked.

So much so that their bake sale raised an incredible €1,000 for the hospice.

Pictured are pupils Eva Doherty and Meaghan Ferry from Ms Dana Doherty and Mr Darren Winston’s classes, presenting the cheque to Anne Mc Gowan of the Donegal Hospice.

Well done to all the pupils on a wonderful gesture.
