The North West Simon Community has issued   huge thank you to all who took part in North West Simon Community ‘Dip and Donate’ Challenge 2022.

The challenge invited people to take a dip in the sea between 17th and 21st June – the longest day of the year.

A special mention of appreciation goes to Donegal Dips, the Viking Dippers, Donegal Rose, Tara Nic Aindreis, @Justme.emmagrace @Travelyogajam, @YogawithNiamhe, @adrinkmude and cbyogasligo.

“Thank you, one and all for supporting North West Simon Community in solidarity with those experiencing homelessness and raising Vital funds for services provided across Donegal, Leitrim and Sligo,” a spokesperson said.

North West Simon Community works to Prevent and Resolve Homelessness throughout Donegal, Leitrim and Sligo. In 2021 the charity supported 414 individuals from 216 unique households that were comprised of 246 adults and 168 children and also own and manage 21 houses and apartments in Donegal and Leitrim, which accommodate and support people eligible for social housing.

There is no statutory funding available for Early Intervention services that aim to Stop Homelessness Before It Starts and the charity needs your support NOW more than ever. If you would like to make a donation to support the essential services a donation can be made directly to: www.northwestsimon.ie/donate-now or by contacting Collette in Donegal on: 087 0552478 or Aisling in Sligo/Leitrim on: 087 7708865.
