Driver dies after car catches fire following crash in Laois

One person has died after their car collided with a wall, resulting on the vehicle catching fire, in County Laois.

The fatal collision occurred on the Athy Road in Stradbally at around 2.45pm on Friday afternoon.

Gardaí said that the driver was the sole occupant of the car, and any further details are unknown at the moment.
