National: Teenager struck by car in Kildare in critical condition

A teenage boy who was struck by a car in Celbridge on Wednesday morning is said to be in critical condition.

The collision occurred at approximately 11.55am on the Aghards Road in Celbridge.

The pedestrian, suffered serious injuries and is currently in a critical condition at Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown.

Gardaí in Leixlip are appealing for information.
