Gardaí investigating theft of 65 ewes and lambs

Buncrana Gardaí are seeking information in relation to the theft of ewes and lambs in Inishowen.

The theft of 27 ewes, 36 lambs and two hogget ewes from Ballinahone, Fahan, is believed to have occurred between June 15 th and June 25 th. 

The breed of the sheep in question is Swaledale, which is not very common within Donegal. 

Some of the sheep have red or blue spray on their backs and some have green spray on

their heads. 

“We appeal to anybody who has any information in relation to this theft to contact Gardaí in Buncrana on 074-9320540,” a garda spokesperson said.
