Cllr Paul Canning elected new Cathaoirleach of Inishowen

Fianna Fáil councillor Cllr Paul Canning has been elected as the new Cathaoirleach of the Inishowen Municipal District.

The Manorcunningham councillor was presented with the mayoral chain by outgoing mayor Cllr Nicholas Crossan at yesterday’s AGM.

Cllr Rena Donaghey, also from Fianna Fáil, was elected as Leas-Cathaoirleach for the district for the year ahead.
