Four Donegal beaches made the top ten list of Ireland’s best beaches, according to Google Maps.
Silver Strand in Glencolmcille, Kinnagoe Bay, Ballymastocker and Dooey all made the cut, coming in at 3rd, 4th, 5th and 10th respectively, proving that Donegal is the best county for beach-lovers.
Silver Strand came in at 3rd place in the list of the top ten best beaches in Ireland
The list was compiled by the Irish Mirror, by looking at beaches that had more than 50 reviews on Google Maps, ranking them by overall rating and percentage of five-star reviews.
Keem Beach on Achill Island, Co. Mayo made it to the top of the list, after more than 1,500 reviewers gave it 5 stars out of 5.
Kinnagoe Bay made 4th place on the list of the best beaches in Ireland
Ireland’s famous coastline is known to attract visitors from around the globe and were awarded 95 Blue Flags this year for maintaining green, clean and safe beaches.
Dooey Beach came in at 10th place on the list of the best beaches in Ireland
