A young man has pleaded guilty to assault causing harm to a woman on two separate occasions.
Derek McGinley, aged 20, appeared at Letterkenny Circuit Court where he admitted assaulting Nicole Harrison.
The first assault happened at Larkin’s Lane in Letterkenny on July 14th, 2019 and the second at Fairgreen Park in Letterkenny.
McGinley, of Windmill View, Glencar, Letterkenny, is currently in custody.
His barrister, Mr Simon Gillespie, instructed by solicitor Rory O’Brien, asked for a probation and welfare report on his client stating he had no previous convictions at the time of the offences.
Judge John Aylmer agreed and adjourned the case for sentence to the next sittings of the circuit court in October.
