The July full moon is just around the corner, and stargazers are in for a treat.
This Wednesday 13th July, the Full Buck Moon will light up the night sky. The ‘supermoon’ will appear larger and brighter and is so-called because it is at its closest orbit to the earth for 2022.
The ‘Buck Moon’ name comes from this time of year, when a male deer’s antlers are fully grown.
July’s full moon will reach its peak in the UK and Ireland on the evening of July 13, but it should appear full to the naked eye for up to three days.
