He may still be without his phone after it mysteriously disappeared at a council meeting at the Aura Leisure Centre.

But Councillor Gary Doherty is still able to keep his constituents in touch.

A large part of a tree fell on the Castlefin-Convoy Road this afternoon.

But the Sinn Fein councillor was still about to let motorists know to be careful and that the council had been informed of the fallen tree.

Councillor Doherty informed people they can still reach him by emailing garydoherty@donegalcoco.ie or via his personal email at gazdoc@gmail.com

Gardai have said they are aware of the incident at the Aura and have launched an investigation into the matter.
