One of Letterkenny’s busiest and most used roads is set to close for six weeks due to water mains work.
Donegal County Council have published a notice of intention to close part of the High Road between Newline Road and Upper Main Street, from the 2nd of August until the 9th of September, leading to major traffic disruptions.
Anyone wanting to object to the proposed closure can submit objections to Roads Central, Donegal County Council, County House, Lifford with the deadline for submissions for 4.30pm next Tuesday, 19th of July.
Also, due to the Letterkenny Busking Festival, it is also planned to close the Upper Main Street and Lower Main Street as well as Castle Street and the Market Square on Saturday, July 30, from 3.00 – 6.00 pm, closing for traffic only.
