Gardai last night arrested a driver in Letterkenny traveling at 150kph in a 100kph zone while high on cocaine and cannabis.

Officers from Letterkenny Roads Policing Unit clocked the driver speeding and when he was stopped he proved positive for both drugs.

He was arrested and court proceedings will follow.

Gardai appealed to other drivers “Slow down. Never drive while under the influence of alcohol/drugs. Always make responsible decisions when it comes to road safety.”
