A fantastic €1,500 was raised for a very worthy Inishowen cause from the Shaun Cavanagh Memorial Darts Competition.
The event was held in the Redcastle Bar and the money was donated to Hughie’s Corner in Carndonagh.
Hughie’s Corner is a child, adolescent and adult counselling service.
It was set up in Memory of Hugh Simpson Callaghan who passed away suddenly in 2011.
Included are Mary Roberts, Leann Cassidy, Jim Cavanagh and Neil McGowan.
The counsellors provide low-cost counselling services to anyone who requires support. They cover a wide range of issues from bereavement, separation, anxiety, Mica etc.
The organisation fundraises to subsidise the sessions and to cover the overheads, and relies heavily on donations.
The counsellors are fully governed by the Pastoral Centre in Letterkenny.
