A West Donegal man has been detained in custody accused of assaulting another man in Gaoth Dobhair on Wednesday.
Letterkenny District Court heard how Patrick McLaughlin was arrested after the alleged assault at Meenacuing, Gaoth Dobhair on Wednesday night.
Garda O’Hara told how he arrested McLaughlin, aged 56, and took him to Milford Garda Station where he was charged under the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Persons Act at 6.55pm.
He made no reply to the charge of assaulting James McLaughlin.
Barrister Peter Nolan said there was no application for bail.
Judge Éiteáin Cunningham adjourned the case to allow McLaughlin appear again by videolink on July 25th.
