The global food and energy crisis will be top of the agenda today on day three of the MacGill Summer School in Glenties.

Agriculture Minister Charlie McConalogue is among the guest speakers taking to the stage in the Highlands Hotel this afternoon.

This year’s leaders’ forum is dedicated to the Ukraine war and the issues raised by the invasion.

Minister McConalogue’s talk will delve into the serious food crisis caused by the war and the pandemic, and ask if countries with substantial agriculture sectors can help?

Other panels today will discuss neutrality and fossil fuels. The evening will round off with a performance by classical pianist and violinist, Catriona McElhinney Grimes.
