TCS recently held a highly successful Careers Open Evening in their Letterkenny building last Thursday 14th July, in the Letterkenny Technology Park.

The open evening was held as part of a wider recruitment drive to hire more than 200 people in the coming months as they continue to expand their operations in Letterkenny.

To date approximately 300 people have expressed their interest in the vacant roles using the online portal while more than 100 people attended the event in person at TCS Letterkenny Global Delivery Centre.

Candidates travelled from all over the country to attend the event including Dublin, Limerick, and Carlow. Candidates in attendance were given the opportunity to speak with IT and Customer Services Specialists to learn more about the roles and opportunities available in Letterkenny with TCS.

Many candidates were particularly interested in learning about the opportunities available in Cyber Security, Software Engineering and Digital Marketing. TCS representatives were delighted to receive interest from several promising candidates in all six of their key recruiting areas which include: Cloud Computing and Engineering, Customer Services & Back Office, Cyber Security, Data Analytics, Digital Marketing and Design and Software Engineering.

TCS currently employs over 1,000 people in Letterkenny across a range of highly skilled tech-related roles. The Careers open Even resulted in all six key recruiting areas having several interviews lined up over the next few weeks.

Head of Letterkenny TCS Global Delivery Centre, Andrea McBride said: “We are thrilled with the turn-out for our Careers Open Evening, which we hope will be the first of many here at TCS GDC in Letterkenny.”

She continued “Candidates were very interested in the career development and learning opportunities available to them at TCS Letterkenny. We were very impressed with the level of expertise and the high calibre of the candidates that showed up to the event. We anticipate that we will be making job offers very soon and look forward to welcoming the successful candidates into the team here at TCS Letterkenny.”
